What aikido teaches

Here is a post from my aikido dojo's blog that I think describes what center and aikido is about. The fellow who wrote it is a nidan instructor for us (second degree black belt).

Ellen Stapenhorst

Ellen has been singing, writing songs and entertaining audiences around the world for more than four decades. She has recorded several CDs of original music, including her latest, Come Back Home. Lifelong interests in peace, the environment and positive social change led her to work in conflict resolution and community building, using music and other mind/body practices to create common ground and have fun along the way. She has been on the Aiki Works staff for over twenty years, and holds a black belt in Aikido. Ellen lives in a small town on the western slope of Colorado.
